Incredible new feature for Photoshop CS5

I simply cannot wait to get my hands on the Photoshop CS5, the next version of Adobe's flagship photo editing application. "Background aware fill" is the buzzword of the moment but, buzzword or not, it will literally save me days of effort over the course of a year. Check out the demo video:

Coming up for air …

Wow! Where does the time go? Almost a half a year since my last post. A lot has been happening both personally and technically which has kept me from blogging. However, I now realize that I’ve misplaced or forgotten a number of cool discoveries or tidbits of knowledge in this past 6 months which inspires me to write them down some place which won’t be wrinkled, shredded, washed or misplaced over time. So I commit to writing down what I discover here in the hopes that I can find it again when needed and perhaps that it might be of benefit to someone else.

I’ve mainly been working with Seam, Hibernate, JSF, facelets, RichFaces, JavaScript, HTML and CSS over the last 6 months. I’ve been making some progress also on my Ruby on Rails projects but my main focus has been on the Java-based technologies. I’ve also been experimenting with Git and Subversion and have some thoughts on those tools which I’ll try to write down soon.

It feels good to be back … let’s hope that feeling lasts!
